This for us was going to be the experience of a life-time. We had all sorts of different advice thrown at us, who to use, where to live, understanding the legal system etc etc.
The list seemed endless, warnings about the problems of buying abroad, various pitfalls, we began to wonder was this all going to be worth it. However, as first time buyers living abroad, nothing could`ve been simpler. We used a property company named P.P.Property in Central Portugal, and here we are, 2 years plus down the road, still able to visit the Company for practical advice on anything whatsoever regarding life in PORTUGAL.
Sarah and Paul, who own & run the Company have always been totally brilliant, making the purchase and settling into our home totally simple. We came across the beautiful region of Central Portugal after sometime travelling in Europe. We were charmed by its beauty, climate, kind and accepting people and relaxed way of life. When the time came to think about heading off again on our travels we found we just didn’t want to leave. We decided to look at some houses and spent a day with Jamie at PPP, well after that we wanted to leave even less! We’d already fallen in love with the region now we’d fallen in love with a house, some woods and a view. After a lot of discussion and a fair few glasses of wine we decided to go for it; we are so glad that we did.
We found the team at PPP to be extremely helpful and conscientious throughout the process of buying our house. They guided us through every step of the purchase process, taking time to explain things when needed. Their enthusiasm for the region where they live and run their business is evident. Most importantly to us they remain a valued source of local knowledge and information.

We purchased our property at the end of 2008 through Properties in Perfect Portugal. The house was an unfinished project, quite simply a shell. It gave us the opportunity to design the interior to our own requirements and has turned out very well indeed.
Right from the start Sarah and company have been unstinting in the help they gave us, we do not speak a word of Portuguese so it needs no imagination to appreciate what a boon their help has been. They obtained quotations for the completion of the work and we decided upon the actual builder of the shell Antonio Clementina who was pleased to complete the project.
PPP have leased with the builder on our behalf throughout the project and brought it to a very satisfactory conclusion. We cannot thank them enough for what they have done for us and commend them to anyone seeking to purchase a property in Portugal.
