Ovar Property
Ovar is located on the Silver coast of Portugal, although not strictly a coastal town it is but a short drive from the beach.

Ovar is situated 45 minutes from the International airport of Porto and less than 40 minutes from the city of Porto.
The city of Ovar has a population of less than 17,000 many of who are direct descendants of Phoenician sailors who settled many parts of the Silver coast because of the excellent fishing prospects and of course the favourable climate.
Ovar is an attractive town with some particularly impressive fountains, the chapel of Calvario is noted for its pilgrimage credentials and some life size sculptures from the 18th century. The castle of Santa Maria da Feira is also nearby and is considered one of the fortresses in Portugal in terms of preservation.
The nearby beaches are very clean and although the sea is often rough is popular but in no way crowded there is camping available as well as plenty of hotels and pensions.
