Although the property in Portugal has not dropped in price anywhere near what it has in nearby Spain it has never the less lost a little of its value and in certain regions it was already cheap to start with. The infrastructure in Portugal continues to improve and it is without doubt that once the more remote provinces are linked up by road rail and air, property prices will rally in these areas also. The Silver coast and Central Portugal areas are excellent value for money and a leading property portal commented recently that these areas where receiving more hits than any other likely destination. In fact rightmove.com has commented that Portugal real estate is “is among the lower-priced real estate that investors can now look to buy”. Put all of this together and it is clear to see why enquiries are up, sales are up and a great many people are heading for Portugal.
